Fortunately, Acomba allows you to manage several companies with a single license. All you have to do is create a new company and start the various modules. Here\u2019 how.<\/h2>\r\n\r\n<p>Start by creating a new company by clicking the <span class=\"strongItalic\">File<\/span> menu and selecting <span class=\"strongItalic\">New Company<\/span>. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img1_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n<p>A company is a database contained in a folder. By default, companies are classified in the F1000.DTA directory.  <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>In the <span class=\"strongItalic\">New Company<\/span> window, enter the name of the new company folder. It is just a name for the directory: you don\u2019t have to enter the company\u2019s real name and you can subsequently modify it in Windows explorer. Once you have named the folder, click OK. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img2_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n<p>In the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Creating Files<\/span> window, select the modules to be started. In all cases, selecting the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Company<\/span> box is mandatory, since it contains the chart of accounts. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img3_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n<p>To go faster, select the strict minimum, since the startup process only ends once all selected modules are started. You can start the other modules later on.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>After you click the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Create<\/span> button, the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Select Applications to Startup<\/span> window is displayed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img4_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n<p>Select the applications to start and, if you have already used another accounting system for your company, import the data through the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Data from Other System section<\/span>. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>After clicking <span class=\"strongItalic\">Next<\/span>, you must enter general information about your company in the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Company Information<\/span> window and click <span class=\"strongItalic\">Next<\/span> again. You can modify this information later if needed.<\/p>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img5_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n<p>In the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Company: Select Chart of Accounts<\/span> window, several options are offered. Start by selecting your company\u2019s line of business in the left column. You can then select a chart of accounts in the list, or <span class=\"strongItalic\">Create<\/span> or <span class=\"strongItalic\">Import<\/span> one. <\/p>\r\n<p>You can also use the <span class=\"strongItalic\">File<\/span> button to import the chart of accounts from a <span class=\"strongItalic\">CSV<\/span> file. In fact, you can create your chart of accounts with Excel. <\/p>\r\n<p>If you want to create your chart of accounts with Excel and you don\u2019t know how, refer to the procedure below. If not, skip this section and continue reading the article!  <\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"blocVert\">\r\n    <h3 class=\"center mt0\">Creating a chart of accounts with Excel<\/h3>\r\n    <p class=\"mb30\">In the first cell of the first sheet of your spreadsheet, name your chart of accounts. In the following cells, indicate the account number, description and category. The categories are represented by a number: <\/p>\r\n\r\n    <p class=\"center mb30\"><strong>1. Bank  \/  2. Assets  \/  3. Liabilities  \/  4. Capital  \/  5. Income  \/  6. Expenses<\/strong><\/p>\r\n    \r\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-block mt0 mb0\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img6_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n    <p class=\"mt40 mb20\">Once the chart of accounts has been created, save the file using the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Save<\/span> as option and by selecting the <span class=\"strongItalic\">CSV<\/span> file type. <\/p>\r\n\r\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-block mt0 mb0\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img7_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n    <p class=\"mt40 mb20\">If one of the following warning messages is displayed, don\u2019t worry: it\u2019s perfectly normal. Simply click <span class=\"strongItalic\">OK<\/span> and\/or <span class=\"strongItalic\">Yes<\/span>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-block mb15\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img8_EN.png\">\r\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-block mt15\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img9_EN.png\">\r\n\r\n    <p><strong>You can now import your chart of accounts and continue to set up<br class=\"hidden-xs hidden-sm\"> your new company!  <\/strong><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<p>After clicking <span class=\"strongItalic\">Next<\/span> in the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Company: Select Chart of Accounts<\/span> window, the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Edit Chart of Accounts<\/span> window is displayed. In this window, you can modify the number, description and category of the selected account. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img10_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n<p>You can also insert or delete the selected account by clicking the two icons at the top left. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"warning\">\r\n    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"exclamation\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/warning.jpg\">\r\n    <h3 class=\"mt0 mb0\" ><strong>WARNING<\/strong><\/h3>\r\n    <p>The third icon (<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"balais ml5 mr5\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img11.jpg\">broom) deletes the entire chart of accounts!<\/p>  \r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n<p>If you have no modifications to make, click <span class=\"strongItalic\">Next<\/span> and accept the confirmation requests that follow. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>It\u2019s done: your second company is created! You can select it from the <span class=\"strongItalic\">Open\/New Company<\/span> window. This window is displayed when you click <span class=\"strongItalic\">File<\/span>, then <span class=\"strongItalic\">Open Company<\/span>. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads-svn\/blog\/comment-creer-une-deuxieme-entreprise-dans-acomba\/img12_EN.jpg\">\r\n\r\n<p>As soon as you have two companies to manage, Acomba always opens with the last company that you used, unless you have the <a href=\"\/en\/additional-modules\/customization-and-security\/\">Customization and Security<\/a> module and you control user access to the various companies. <\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>You now manage more than one company in your Acomba software!<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"People who are bitten by the entrepreneurial bug often launch more than one company.
